Funky Soul: When Kombucha Meets Coffee
Share
This summer feels a little different for us at YALA Kombucha. After four months of mixing, tasting, and honestly, a lot of laughing with our friends at QC Coffee, we’re finally ready to share something we’ve been quietly brewing: Funky Soul.
QC (Quality Control) has always been that kind of coffee brand you can trust—deeply into sourcing, roasting, and celebrating the soul of coffee. Their Funky Soul blend comes from two natural Arabica origins, Brazil and Ethiopia, with flavors that feel both familiar and surprising: Cadbury chocolate, sweet berries, and just a touch of nuts. It’s the kind of cup you don’t forget.
On our side, YALA Kombucha has been all about creating drinks that are light, refreshing, and good for the gut. We love tea, herbs, and fermentation—and we love experimenting. So when QC came with their Funky Soul beans, it felt natural to ask: what happens if coffee meets kombucha?
Turns out, a lot happens. The richness of the coffee sits perfectly with kombucha’s sparkle, and instead of the sharp hit of coffee acidity, you get kombucha’s gentler tang. Your stomach will thank you. The flavor is layered, indulgent, but still refreshing—something you can enjoy in the middle of a hot day without feeling heavy.
This collab is also about friendship. Two small, independent brands from Abu Dhabi, both crazy about flavor, both stubborn enough to keep tweaking for months until it felt right. That’s what Funky Soul is about—community, creativity, and a little bit of funk.
So here it is: a drink that brings together the best of both worlds. Born from Brazil and Ethiopia, brewed in Abu Dhabi, and made to be shared on sunny UAE days, which is…every day 😊
Funky Soul is here. We can’t wait for you to try it.
